Rosey fronting the blue "J's"

I am so honored to have Rosey as my good friend. We were friends for a decade before we started singing together. Now we’ve been singing together for what now seems like a decade. He is a retired veteran of the US Military of 38 years. I am so grateful to have him sing my song “Written on the Wall”.

The story behind Written on the Wall

“Written on the Wall” was written by myself and David MacKechnie for Bobby Hendricks of the Drifters. Bobby was to perform at an event at Klamath Falls airforce base in Oregon. They had a miniture version of the Vietnam War Memorial temporarily set up. It was traveling around the country and part of the festifities was a concert featuring Bobby Hendricks. Not only did he take Ben E King’s place when he left the Drifters but Bobby had a number one hit in the 70’s with “Itchy Twitchy Feeling”.

He flew up from Los Angeles to my horse ranch (Painted Springs Ranch) in Oregon to record at my studio. The local newspaper came out and we ended up on the front page. He had intended on recording a song he had written for the Klamath Falls event but after I sang him the song Dave and I had written he abandoned his and went with ours.  He ended up staying on the farm and we had a great time. I produced four songs in which we pressed 50 CD’s. We did “Written on the Wall”, “Itchy Twitchy Feeling”, and a song we all wrote together called “Turn Around and Get Back to Love”.
